photoblog image Bare Fields

Bare Fields

A couple of days ago this was the local landscape. On Friday we got 10 - 15 cm and a windy night to blow it around.  I'll show some snowy photos for a couple of days after this.

veyr good shot, so good to see pics from the other side of the world.
Mary MacADNski: That's what I always say. I said last week that at this time of year your shots help warm you up and in summer help cool us down.

Really like your agri-pastoral shots, Mary, and the residue of snow makes this one special.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ray. Landscapes are my favorite genre to photograph or paint. I love living in the country.

I'm surprised to see these bales still in the fields. I would have thought that they would have been taken in store by now.
Mary MacADNski: This is straw which is not as valuable as hay. These bales are wrapped and perfectly good being stored outdoors. I'd say most hay and straw is stored outdoors though it is usually placed in rows at a place that is convenient for a tractor to pick up. These would be inaccessible in deep snow.
brrrrr.... not a scene ever to be seen here....

nice perspective shot

Cheers
Rob
Mary MacADNski: You would have to go up to Mount Koziosco. There is snow up there in winter. I was there in your summer.

A wonderful shot Mary. Simple lines and warm colours and the eyes are led into the shot from the front bale

Not only are you a great cat photographer, you do a fine job on landscapes. smile
Mary MacADNski: That is a wonderful compliment as I love landscapes in photography and in painting.
The comments that Pamela have said are more or less the words I was going to say, it has you looking into the picture.
Mary MacADNski: I am taking a shot of this field tomorrow and will post it as Thursday or Friday's image. It will look quite different, I think.
