photoblog image Cold Bales

Cold Bales

This is a follow up of Sunday's photo. As much as there is a change in snow covering, there has been an even bigger change in temperature.  We've had overnight temps of around minus 20 Celsius all week.  Brrrr.....  Life goes on but needless to say, I've not been hiking.

Look like the Aliens visited, and constructed a few crop circles around the bales, Mary...cleverly making it look to the casual observer like there has been a little breeze.
Mary MacADNski: I wish they'd not followed up with the deep freeze.
great natural lighting in this, very nice indeed
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, derek. I love the light and shade of winter snow.
Beautiful, Mary! The light is beautiful and I love that the snow appears to be different colors on the bales of hay. a great capture of a beautiful landscape!
Mary MacADNski: Winter colours from sun and shade are so beautiful. It is an honour to capture them.

Wonerful image - almost like someone painted the bales

C'mon Mary.. bundle up and get out there! a beatiful scene.
Mary MacADNski: I get out to work every day but am in the middle of a million things in the studio too. It's truly been too cold for walking. The wind makes the wind chill temps quite a bit below -20.
I like the long shadows Mary, the cold has caught up with you at last then.
Mary MacADNski: It's moderated a bit but it's still quite cool for the next few days.
The low light really shows the texture of the grasses in the snow. Lovely shot Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Life in the country is grand, eh?
They look so much better than being wrapped in plastic, lovely light and shadows.
Mary MacADNski: These are wrapped bales, Linda but they now make see through wrap. I love the shadows too.
-20 brrrrrrrrrrrr not surprised you haven't being walking, super shot Marysmile
Mary MacADNski: With the winds the 'feel like' temperatures have been frigid.
Looks like the bales are rolling there way home, nice picture
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Clifford. Quite a difference a week makes, eh?
