photoblog image Spinning Seaweed

Spinning Seaweed

I must have fallen asleep on the beach.  I missed a photo for yesterday but today have a shot of a little piece of seaweed that was floating and spinning with the tides.

One of your most adventurous posts, Mary...I like it a lot!
Mary MacADNski: Not a huge adventure, Ray. I was only knee deep. LOL
surreal... reminds me of out of space or somthing.. very interesting antlers...
Mary MacADNski: Pretty simple though. There are lots of strange creatures in the sea.

A bizarre sight Mary - I'm glad you said what it is!
Mary MacADNski: It would be hard to tell otherwise. A guess might be the top of a head floating upside down with ears missing but antlers still attached
Looks like surreal art.
Mary MacADNski: You're right, Nigel. A lot that you find in the ocean can be thus described.

Delightful, Mary - it looks like it's putting on a miniature show for us.
Ingrid
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ingrid. I just noticed for the first time that you can see it's shadow.
Wonderful Mary. I am glad you said what it is!
Mary MacADNski: It certainly wasn't self-explanatory.

Without your notes, I would have had no idea what this was! Looks very alien.
Mary MacADNski: The sea has many mysteries and indeed, quite a few look alien.
A very delicate bit of seaweed it is too Mary.
Mary MacADNski: When you take it out of water the red part withers to nothing.
I would never have guessed, Simple and beautiful.
Mary MacADNski: Some seaweeds are indeed beautiful.
This is a delight Mary
Mary MacADNski: A trip to the beach and wading in warm water is always a delight, Bill.
Aquatic antlers...love it!
Mary MacADNski: It's good to have an imagination, eh?
Bit like an ariel shot from the set of "War of the Worlds"...love the tones.
Mary MacADNski: You have a good and fun imagination.
Sometimes simple is best and this is one of those times, lovely and soft, nice shot.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, cliffordben. I agree that quite often simple is best.
