A stunning image of a very pretty bloom, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I'd never seen a green poppy and would have bought a box had I had extra room in the gardens.
i like seeing the difference from yesterday to today. this is a very lovely and big blossom. i am surprised that it is green though. does it stay green?
Mary MacADNski: This is new to me so I don't know if they stays green but I assume it does as they were all the same green. It is also quire a small poppy that looks big as I was up close. This was in a greenhouse where I had gone last spring to buy tomato plants. If I'd had extra room in my garden I would have bought a box of these too.

Mary MacADNski: A lot of magic happens around the Shutterchance blogs. Sometimes I can hardly believe what I'm seeing.

Mary MacADNski: I wish it were shining here and that the wind would slow down. it's a yucky day here.

I have never heard of an Icelandic poppy so thank you for the introduction Mary.
Mary MacADNski: You are quite welcome. It was the first time I saw one too.

Mary MacADNski: It was new to me as well.
It's lovely isn't it, I had expected a red one.
Mary MacADNski: I had certainly never seen a green poppy before. I like them a lot and wish I had garden room to plant some.

Amazing, Mary; sucha beautiful flower.
Mary MacADNski: I was really taken by them.
That's cool. And all that in one day?

Neato.
Mary MacADNski: Truth be told it was all in seconds. LOL
Really bright and cheery, just what's needed this time of year, lovely shot.
Mary MacADNski: So true. I need spring a bit earlier than it comes here.
Beautiful close-up Mary - I think I might have been tempted to do a squarish crop to reduce the amount of background, but it's lovely as is!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate any help.
