Camera Shy

I brag each week about how easy it is to photograph Kenz.  Bella on the other hand is downright difficult.  I managed to get thirty shots the other day, kept four - that were not very good  - and this is one of them. She runs from the camera and will not look at it.  She is never relaxed if there is a camera being held and basically looks like this.  I wave an Acadian flag.

I have known cats like this..I have a feeling its all about controlling their space...
Mary MacADNski: I think that is as good a reason as any and I'd say it is right on.

Much like my children Mary, run at the sight of my camera
Mary MacADNski: I do too. I HATE having my picture taken. My daughter on the other hand....Ha! Sounds like the two cats in the family.
Amazing that she knows you're doing this....

Cats will be cats, minds of their own..
Mary MacADNski: She certainly does and she actually runs away.
I think they have a lot more feelings than we realise, you still managed to catch her looking pretty.
Mary MacADNski: Once in a while I get a decent shot of her but not often.
Bit like Sophie, our dog, she will not suffer to look at the camera for you at times, oh well, we still love them anyway
Mary MacADNski: Oh, yes we do! I get all the photo shoots I want with her sister, Kenz, the poser.

It's funny isn't it? Some cats are happy to pose and others are the opposite. Could she she her own reflection, I wonder? We were at the Hawk Conservancy recently and asked not to point cameras at one of the owls; it refuses to fly if it sees cameras!
Mary MacADNski: It has nothing to do with the reflection with her. Soon as she sees of hears the camera start up she 'plays her game'. I do get some good ones of her but none of them show a relaxed cat.
they say that old age mortality is directly affected by whether one has a cat to pet or not.
Mary MacADNski: I so believe that. A dog would work too for some. Some nursing homes have dogs and cats for that reason.
Perhaps in her other life, Mary, she was a celebrity hounded by the paparazzi and whenever she sees a camera pointed in her direction, well, it's just too much.
Mary MacADNski: LOL I love it. She acts like a star. We call her the queen. I think you may have something there.
I know what you mean, Mary - Sassy just avoids the camera if at all possible!
Mary MacADNski: Strange, isn't it. Her sister doesn't mind at all.
Bella is beautiful for all that... and patriotic... smile
Mary MacADNski: She is beautiful - a prettier face than her poser sister, Kenz, it's just that we don't often see it with the camera.
One day..you will get a fantastic shot of her Mary..One to treasure.
Mary MacADNski: I have a few. Like I said, I shot thirty this day. Some days out of thirty I will get one.
It has been decades since I have heard Cisco. Very cool.
Mary MacADNski: Gotta love the old music.
They seem to know when the shutter is going to be pressed! Kammie will look at me until the vital moment and then look away! I don't think Mac cares!
Mary MacADNski: Bella won't even stay that long. if I'm holding the camera she's on the run. How different that is from Kenz!

That's so funny, our dog Ozzy is, on the other hand a complete camera-'whore'. The second you take it out of it's case he's up running over...
Mary MacADNski: Kenz is as you describe but I feature her almost every week. I need to get a Bella shot in once in a while. I have a good shot of her uploaded for this week. I am on my day off have had a beer or two and thank god for spell check.
