photoblog image Foggy Point of Land

Foggy Point of Land

After complaining last week about not getting shooting opportunities, I took a few.  I got out on a foggy day which is quite rare here.

very nice Mary, crisp focus with muted tones
Mary MacADNski: I rarely get to shoot fog. It was light for by the afternoon when I was able to get out but still beautiful.

It is a delight, the glistering of the sun in the water is beautiful, love the silhouettes, I am glad you took the moment to go out!!!
Mary MacADNski: I have a couple of days off this week but already have them planned. There's just no 'me time' or time for photo shoots these days. I'm glad I got a chance to get out that day too!
Its still made a fine image Mary..The glistening water is lovely.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ron. It was a light fog by this time but still enough to show some effects.
The water just glistening and the fog hopefully will soon clear, lovely and peaceful Mary smile
Mary MacADNski: We rarely get for here so it was a treat to get out in it.
A nice quiet image Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Brian. Fog can be eerily beautiful.
What a wonderful atmospheric shot, Mary. You managed to capture the foggy feel of the place very artistically.
Mary MacADNski: You're very kind. It was late in the afternoon and fog stayed all day! That was so amazing for here. I moved fron Saint John, New Brunswick to get away from fog. SJ friends would laugh to hear me say I enjoyed it.

I'm such a fan of fog, Mary, even if I don't get many shots of it. Soon your spring will be popping out all over. I bet you can taste it!
Mary MacADNski: I moved fron Saint John, New Brunswick to get away from fog. It is dreadful for me to live in a foggy town. We rarely have it here on the Island so SJ friends would laugh to hear me say I enjoyed the fog.
Lovely image, Mary - I think I'll have to put PEW on my 'to do' list - it's obviously the place for a tranquil life smile
Mary MacADNski: Your misspelling is quite funny. It is a good place to sit and contemplate the heavens.
great atmospheirc shot Mary
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Derek. I love that there's just a bit of colour.

The fog changes a view completely and subdues all the colours. Looks like there is a little sun to add some sparkle to the water.
Mary MacADNski: This was mid afternoon of a sunny day. Very odd that this fog had not burned off. I took advantage of the strangeness.
this is nice and moody.
I can see why you enjoyed the day.
Mary MacADNski: When it is only an occasional occurrence like it is here, fog can be great.

When there is not a lot of detail, one focuses on what is visible, and gets the opportunity to study it...the bird, the highlighted ripples in the water..
Mary MacADNski: I love the muted landscape and as you say we do look for those details.
