Folks from Saint John, New Brunswick will laugh at this but I have to say I miss fog. I left that foggy city thirty-some years ago to escape fog and would not want to live in it's grip again but when it does arrive here, as it occasionally does, I lap it up.
There is rarely fog on An Island Walk but we enjoy taking pictures of it so much...
Afternoon Fog

Good photo Mary I am wondering what that fin shape thing is in the water?
Mary MacADNski: Gosh! I am wondering too. I am assuming it is a bird flying by but it also does look like a fin. I just had a look at my files and it is in every shot I took at that spot. It might be a piece of wood? It is a real mystery you have brought up.
It makes views magical doesn't it - I remember looking at a scene like this on the Maine coast years ago - and it is still fresh in my mind.
Mary MacADNski: The coast of Maine gets fog similar to that in Saint John. It is from the cold Bay of Fundy. Wonderful for a short time but not to live in year after year. You start to get moldy. LOL
I can see why you like it. Mystery of mist and such a beautiful shot. Where I live we have maybe 3 foggy days in a year and the mystery feeling is with me when it happens.
Mary MacADNski: That is about the same as here and I never see it last all day like this. it was great with the sun behind you and the fog hugging the coast.
