It could be an early morning, before the sun has appeared.

The difference between mist and fog is that they are both wet smile Sorry, it just popped into my mind.
Another excellent misty.

now l have to ask whats the difference between mist and fog.

Excellent shot
Mary MacADNski: Mist is light rain. Fog is all about temperature. As in my other shots the sun was shining but around the water, where the temperature was colder, fog formed. It can be spotty. Mist is everywhere because basically it is raining, albeit lightly.

I was in Winchester with Ellie yesterday - and it was just like this Mary!
Mary MacADNski: We can't help what we get. This was Saturday, I believe and this is Thursday - sunny and cooler. I do get a day off once in a while to get to finish the comments.
Very eerie, but a great atmospheric landscape.
Mary MacADNski: Just a misty day, Sheila, warm and humid.

The mist seems to have wrapped itself round the landscape, making it look soft and mysterious.
Ingrid
Mary MacADNski: It was prettier in person. I made the mist a bit thicker in my head.
the fog makes it mystique
Mary MacADNski: It's sunny out again but then again this is thursday. This was Saturday
Superb moody capture Mary. I love it!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard. My week is so busy it is now thursday evening but I'm still accepting compliments.
Another lovely misty scene, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Tom. It worked with the week of fog.
there's a good PS technique to de-misting. Basically do a "Unsharp mask" with large pixels and the skies tend to clear up. Some tonal contrast might also bring this out.

Nice mood here though.

Cheers
Rob
Mary MacADNski: Lots of people recommend these techniques and programs to me. I don't use post processing. I do understand the differences. I looked at Nyiri's shot today for instance describing tonal mapping. I am not a purist but see my photographs as less of a second in time that I have managed to capture. I don't have a need to change it from there. I'm sure you and most others can make it look 'better'.

I'm a bit drunk at this moment by the way.

Almost a white out
Mary MacADNski: It was calm and misty and warm - very nice.
I like the atmosphere here Mary and what a delightful little church.
Mary MacADNski: There are some cute little churches here.
All the mist makes a beautiful picture, i like the church.
Mary MacADNski: It is a beacon in the mist here.

Looks like still a little snow on the higher ground. We've had a few days recently like this, too.
Mary MacADNski: That was a few days ago, Sat. I believe. It is now Thursday, my day off and I'm smilin'
Nice..A majestic feel to it Mary
Mary MacADNski: Spring is here with it's sun. That church scene in the sun, days ago. I love this SC family and you and yours, Ron. Spring is here and it was my day off!!!
Memo to Zed....if you don't know the difference, you have never seen foggrin

Nicely atmospheric Mary
Mary MacADNski: It was a slice!
I really like the landscape in depth. Good photo.
Mary MacADNski: Gracias, Senor. I am tired.
