now l have to ask whats the difference between mist and fog.
Excellent shot
Mary MacADNski: Mist is light rain. Fog is all about temperature. As in my other shots the sun was shining but around the water, where the temperature was colder, fog formed. It can be spotty. Mist is everywhere because basically it is raining, albeit lightly.
I was in Winchester with Ellie yesterday - and it was just like this Mary!
Mary MacADNski: We can't help what we get. This was Saturday, I believe and this is Thursday - sunny and cooler. I do get a day off once in a while to get to finish the comments.
there's a good PS technique to de-misting. Basically do a "Unsharp mask" with large pixels and the skies tend to clear up. Some tonal contrast might also bring this out.
Nice mood here though.
Cheers
Rob
Mary MacADNski: Lots of people recommend these techniques and programs to me. I don't use post processing. I do understand the differences. I looked at Nyiri's shot today for instance describing tonal mapping. I am not a purist but see my photographs as less of a second in time that I have managed to capture. I don't have a need to change it from there. I'm sure you and most others can make it look 'better'.
Mary MacADNski: Spring is here with it's sun. That church scene in the sun, days ago. I love this SC family and you and yours, Ron. Spring is here and it was my day off!!!
