In your photos I think I see nature around you very wild, very powerful.
Mary MacADNski: Nature is my inspiration. I love it when it is wild and powerful!

Superb picture, Mary.

Love those big, irregular, chunks of polystyrene strewn about...
Mary MacADNski: Thank you, Ray. I processed this and am not sure if I like it. I pressed one button - auto contrast- on Picasa and the fog disappeared. It is not at all what I looked at that day.

Poor Bill must be sick of seeing Gulls everyday smile

Love the ruins of the old jetty Mary
Mary MacADNski: I know. I have a ton of gull shots and think of him every time I post one.

Aha - it looks like receding winter too Mary!
Mary MacADNski: This is from the foggy day two weeks ago. Those snow/ice chunks would be gone now I would think.
the fogd sure adds a feeling to it
Mary MacADNski: I got a lot of mileage out of that foggy day.

Strange effect with the foreground so sharp and vibrant and everything else so muted, as though there is a hazy veil over it.

Mary MacADNski: Glad you mentioned it. This is a shot from a foggy day a couple of weeks ago. I pressed one button on Picasa called auto contrast. The fog about disappeared and left this. I feel like this is a false image in the sense that it is not at all what I saw that day. However, it is clearer and the birds are more visible. I don't know if I like it or not.
Lovely image, Mary - seems that spring has not yet demolished all of winter's traces!
Mary MacADNski: That was from the foggy day two weeks ago. The snow is long gone now.
the thaw, great shot.....
the birds make it..
Mary MacADNski: Yes, the birds are the stars here.
Wonderful capture with this subtle light Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard.

The mist adds to the feeling of decay. The piles are appreciated by the seagulls.
Mary MacADNski: Gulls and cormorants are here every day vying for space.
It has still held on th the atmosphere Mary. I like the old piles from presumably some sort of jetty.
Mary MacADNski: That foggy day may live here a long time.
Great atmosphere Mary
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Bill. It was twiddled. Shhh.

You described this yourself, Mary, Wild and powerful. It is funny how you can visit the same spot and find new and different inspiration with each return there.
Mary MacADNski: I was here three times yesterday believe it or not.
The faint rays of sunshine, breaking through the mist set it off nicely Mary. Beautiful.
Mary MacADNski: It was bright and sunny everywhere except near the water.
Receded just enough for this beautiful picture smile
Mary MacADNski: It was foggier but that one button in Picasa (auto-contrast) wiped it away.
Very beautiful! I like the Point of View a lot, usually the poles and birds would be more in the foreground, but this way it makes the shot even more appealing!
Mary MacADNski: I walked right up to the old pylons yesterday but of course the birds fly off right away.
I have to laught at this. All those poles, like people jostling patiently in a ragged queue. I was so taken with them that I didn't even notice the birds until I read some of the comments.
Mary MacADNski: I walked right up to the old pylons yesterday but of course the birds fly off right away.
