Ah...the Annual Easter Day Race for horse-drawn carriage...

Great shot, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: The line of carriages was over a mile long and quite a sight to see.

I have seen these in Lancaster County, it was a great sight.
I know they are not that keen on being photographed, you did a great job though.
Happy Easter to you.
Mary MacADNski: I was a little wary of photographing them but brought up my nerve and got lots of shots.

A fine picture Mary but could you please explain who these people are - are they some sort of religious sect who abominate the motor car?
Mary MacADNski: These are Mennonite people. They live and farm the old ways. My son lives in an area that is mostly Mennonite. They do use tractors and even trucks on the farm but only when necessary

Ohhhhhh. Beautifully captured, Mary. It's a way of life for them in the middle of the 21st century! Amazing.
Mary MacADNski: The sound was wonderful. This was more than a mile long and the horses hooves all clacking...
back in time...
Mary MacADNski: that is how they live.

Just wonderful
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Brian.
That's the same as Armish isn't it Mary. I find most religions very strange. This is a good photograph
Mary MacADNski: No, it's not the same as Amish but similar in the way they reject modernity. I am not a fan of religions either.
A wonderful capture Mary.
Happy Easter to you and yours!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard. Happy Easter to you and your family too.
I had heard of the Mennonite people Mary but I thought they were in the USA just like the Armish.
Mary MacADNski: I read an article today about a group in Central America. There are groups in other places as well.
Some specticle Mary..A great day for the camera.
Mary MacADNski: I got tons of cool shots.
Rather like the Amish, but without the beards smile Tremendous shot, Mary - great capture.
Mary MacADNski: There are some similarities chiefly of living in the old ways and not modern ways.
wonderful picture, happy easter
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, derek, and happy Easter to you.
Happy Easter Mary
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Albert. Last year with grandchildren, this year working....
Well done Mary on gathering your courage for the shots. This is great.
Mary MacADNski: I truly did have to gather courage for these shots. I took some from the upstairs deck and they were not what I wanted so got brave. Thanks for realizing that.
