One that big would be a bit scary!
Mary MacADNski: It may be why the boat is full of holes.

I think it is an Ant, Mary, unless PEI is different...in most parts of the world, Spiders have 8 legs! [grin]

Love the shot, though, for the signs of futile attempts at giving the old boat a bit more useful life.
Mary MacADNski: How right you are. I do know that of course, just not thinking.
certainly an odd decoration for a boat
Mary MacADNski: Very odd isn't it.
Very funny. I like the composition. Bien vue Mary à bientôt VAL
Mary MacADNski: Thanks Val.

Well spotted Mary: this makes for a rather interesting composition
Mary MacADNski: It was so strange to come across.
Well, it could do with a paint job, this boat
Mary MacADNski: This boat has no bottom and has been abandoned.
Well spotted and captured Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard.

Mary MacADNski: I don't get the symbolism either.

That is so funny, Mary...like a wannabe shadow from that eyelet. smile
Mary MacADNski: What we see when we least expect it!
Well..someone had fun doing this Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I'd say so and wonder it's meaning.
It's fun when you find unexpected things like this to capture, Mary. Well seen!
Mary MacADNski: I love to run across surprises like this.
Well, it's definitely got eight legs, Mary - I wonder what someone had in mind??
Mary MacADNski: I don't know either.

You know such a misnomer can be the root of interesting comments. Some ants do have long feelers like the weaver ants.

The insect painted here has six legs from the body and two feelers from the head. The mandibles clearly show.

I think there were cub scouts and the ant troupe used this boat.
Mary MacADNski: I have no idea what the artist thought it was insect or antsect.
I like this very much.
Mary MacADNski: You might not want this boat if you start a shipping company.
Well it's different Marysmile
Mary MacADNski: Art is everywhere!!!
