This out of focus shot shows only the hint of a blue jay's wings. I am amazed that this had been captured even though the photo as a whole is terrible. Both the bird and I were moving and this result is a fluke.

"Hint of Blue Jay"...sounds like a perfume...or, the imagined quality of a dry white wine...
Mary MacADNski: They are our Provincial Bird and they are never a hint - till now. They are loud and in your face, though shy. Kind of a weird bird, actually.
Mary MacADNski: Oh, what we can see with a camera..... Then there's photoshop. I don't even have an introduction to it but since I've seen it used, will now never believe what I see on paper.
This has an eerie and almost supernatural feel to it, Mary. Sort of reminds me of those old photos where you see a ghost-like wisp hovering somewhere in the image.
