For a 'small' potato field, this looks wonderful, great shadows and colours.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Madam. This is very small. Potato fields can be massive and go as far as the eye can see.

If I were a rich man
I would visit PEI this time of the year.
Mary MacADNski: That would be a good choice but best to stay a month for swimming season.

A farmers delight a photographers feast
Mary MacADNski: How true! Thanks, mate.
Such a lovely picture with these lines and colours Mary!
Mary MacADNski: It is wonderful in the countryside these days, Richard.
It soon comes round again the cycle of the farming year
Mary MacADNski: Yes, I was showing shots like this last year.

love the textures in this shot..
nice color contrasts too!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks so much. It's a nice time of year here.
Very clever shot Mary! I love the texture
Mary MacADNski: I like the fields when they're newly planted like this.
I like this Mary because, top and bottom at least, the lovely furrows are surrounding by nice smooth lush green grass.
Mary MacADNski: Lots of green grass at this time of year. I saw cut hay in a field yesterday.
Wow!! I like the perspective and the colours, bien vue Mary. A+ VAL
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Val. It is very pretty here at this time of year.
You cannot beat a country scene such as this. The lines draw the eye in so nicely. A lovely photograph, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Paul. Hope you're enjoying your Canada time.
Nice colours and textures Mary..The ploughman did a good job as well.
Mary MacADNski: They even have competitions for ploughmen and women here.
You caught the stripes very nicely Mary. We have similar sized potato fields here. At first they get covered in polythene for protection but it's probably all off now.
Mary MacADNski: I'd swear I answered this comment yesterday. Maybe it didn't go through. Some farmers use coverings here as well. Most of our fields are much larger as agriculture policy is pretty much be big or go home. There are some small farmers left though.
The earth is a wonderful colour, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, our red soil is very pretty - and grows good potatoes.

I like the lines in this, mary. I remember previous "potato" images from you; it's frightening in some ways just how quickly the seasons come round.
Mary MacADNski: How true that is, Alan. June already, I say!
Very striking.
Mary MacADNski: That is what PEI is at this time of year - striking. Thanks, Nigel.
Nice shot, looks like good fertile soil.
Mary MacADNski: Sadly, most of the potato fields fertility comes from chemical pellets.
