Summer Sky

The Canada Day holiday was in my plans the last time I posted.  I got a call early that morning that my work partner had broken her ankle and is expected to be out of commission for six weeks.  I am again doing a number of extra shifts so apologize in advance for my lack of preparation in these postings.

I am a sky gazer so that is my excuse for this one.  Shot from my deck on the evening of July first, a few hours before the Canada Day fireworks.  I plan to be asleep when they are going off.

A gorgeous view. I hope your work partner is on the mend soon...
Mary MacADNski: Six weeks, they say. My first day off will be on the 17th.

Expressive sky...perhaps a bit of jetstream.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, I'd say a few big steel birds passed by.
Oh dear!! Looks like you are going to be busy Mary.

Hope your colleague is better soon
Mary MacADNski: My first day off is the 17th. My boss worried about overworking me. I told her that was impossible.

Oh dear Mary - poor her and poor you. You never know what is round the corner in this life!
Mary MacADNski: I surely know that, Chris, and that is why I don't mind filling in to help everything run smoothly. My first day off is the 17th.

So you are a sky gazer too. Met some others over time.
Mary MacADNski: I'm not into telescopes and planets - just have my head in the clouds. LOL
What a pity for your partner and yourselves Mary. At least you managed to admire this wonderful sky!
Mary MacADNski: You never know what is around the corner.
Arer there vapour trails (contrails) in the sky here Mary?
Mary MacADNski: I would think so, Chad, along with regular clouds.
A beautiful sky, worth gazing at.
Good luck on all your extra shifts and work load.
Mary MacADNski: I bought a new car last week so the extra money will be welcome. My son and his family are coming home so I will have some time off then.
where they comme from and where they go?
Mary MacADNski: LOL everywhere and anywhere.
A fitting sky for our Country's birthday, Mary.

I've yet to download the pictures I shot at our fireworks last night. It was the first time I had used the fireworks option on my camera and am curious to see how the images turned out.

So sorry about your work partner and your increased work schedule.
Mary MacADNski: I didn't go into town for the fireworks but to bed. Will be glad to see yours.
You don't need an excuse for an image like this one, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: I was on the deck with a beer after a challenging day and used all available energy for this.
What a lovely sky Mary, I hope you get some time to continue to sky-gaze over the next few weeks.
Mary MacADNski: No chance of that. I am working straight through till the 17th.
Bad luck to you and commiserations to your partner. Lovely sky shot though
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Janet. The 17th will be my first day off.
Beautiful clouds very different from those I posted today
