Almost Home

I've not had time to play with the new interface but find something different happening with the music today so this may not be working.  Have to leave for work in less than 2 hours so no time to fix whatever it is....Sunday dinner and all.

Wonderful view again and that red soil is beautiful, those hay-rolls are a sign of 'summer almost gone'
I hope the dinner was good smile
Mary MacADNski: I believe I was so tired that night that I had eggs, an avocado and lime, and a piece of fruit.

Looks like the hay harvest is in Mary
Mary MacADNski: That would be a second crop of hay or straw from the remains of grain harvest. I think the latter.

Mary MacADNski: Thanks, zed.

Excellent landscape with some wet weather on the way. You wouldn't plant downhill like this over here, the kind of storms we have will leave the farmer landless.
Mary MacADNski: With our rolling landscape you have to plant on slopes. There is a problem with erosion though.
A nice rural scene that does look very English
Mary MacADNski: I suppose it does. Our hay bales don't have that funny English accent though.

Quite right, Mary.. need to concentrate on important thinks - such as eating.I like the contrast here between the fresh crops and the what seems to be a threatening sky; the lighting is good.
Mary MacADNski: The sky was what made me stop. I see the views every day but with the black sky behind the sun-filled fields, I thought it looked awesome.
I like all the lines and angles in this one, Mary. (:o)
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Rosalyn.
Smashing shot...I see Bill says it looks English...I'm going to claim it for Ireland smile
Mary MacADNski: I havebetter one coming up in two days.

I love the different fields. What a great image Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Scarlet. I have a better shot of this field coming up.
the picture and the music are perfect! thank you!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks for coming by and having a look and a listen.
The beauty of summer rolling along.
Mary MacADNski: Rolling, rolling, rolling.
Glorious farmland - looks very English, actually!
Mary MacADNski: It looks the same everywhere, I'd say.

This actuially reminds me a bit of what we saw in France, Mary. It has the same feel. We saw lots of rolled hay bales like this, for sure!
Mary MacADNski: Harvest time is the same everywhere, I think. These bales are straw from the harvest of grain.
Harvest time. First signs of autumn - not a wonderful thought. Great photo though.
Mary MacADNski: Oh, this is early wheat. No autumn yet.
What a wonderful rural scene Mary. The light is superb!
Mary MacADNski: That light is what made me stop so close to home.
What extremely attractive farmland Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It is very nice in the summer.
Nice lines scary sky.
Mary MacADNski: More of this sky tomorrow.
Very pleasant landscape
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Calusarus. I just had a look at your portfoloio. Fabulous work!

Lovely shot Mary.....the red Islland clay brings a nice constrast to the new crop, down lush fields to where to haying has started.....it will be harvest time soon.....perhaps too soon after such a nice summer.....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: Haying is in June. This would be straw from the harvest of early grain. It would have been planted in the fall and the wheat beside it, planted in spring.
