photoblog image Still In the Sun

Still In the Sun

From the same drive home as yesterday's shot but a small detour to get a shot with this light.  A few mentioned the sky from yesterday's shot, encouraging me to put up this one so you can see that sky again.  We did not get rain at my house from this but other neighbourhoods did.  It may have even rained here.

Tomporrow I will put up a better shot of yesterday's fields, as again,  I chose the wrong one by looking only at thumbnails.  I've got to slow down here.

Mary I like how you have captured the colours light to dark
Mary MacADNski: All the way home I was admiring the dark sky and knew if it didn't rain before I got home I could get this view. OK, I broke a few speed limits.

Hi Mary i liked both shots of the fields.....this one shows a great contrast in the colours of the fields, trees and sky ....looking forward to tomorrows shot.......petersmile
Mary MacADNski: I am always in a hurry so sometimes post by only looking at the thumbnails. I really should take more time.
this is so rural and fresh, I love it.
Mary MacADNski: Glad you do, Chantal. I love living in a rural area.
Lots to admire in this, Mary. The light and shadow of the cloud make it very interesting, and I love the wild flowers in the foreground. (:o)
Mary MacADNski: It's very pretty here this time of year. I laughed at what you were saying to someone about living in a tourist area. PEI is a huge tourist destination and we have to be very patient at times to get places with the extra traffic.

It looks as if you were lucky to get any sun at all Mary
Mary MacADNski: I think people were hoping we'd get a big thunderstorm to bring the heat down.

Amazing how much light you have in the foreground considering the sky is so dark
Mary MacADNski: I was still in sunshine.

Wonderful composition and the light is fantastic.
Mary MacADNski: I loved that light too!
Lovely contrast between the light and the threatening sky!
Mary MacADNski: I hurried home thinking it would rain but it blew by.

It could be England, mary (although I'd not wish that on anyone!). We've not had any significant rain now in the south east for nearly 5 months; it's worrying.
Mary MacADNski: We had no moisture during the winter which was worrying but our summer has had the perfect amount of precipitation.
You really do have some lovely countryside on PEI Mary and as others have said it looks very English.
Mary MacADNski: Farmland with rolling hills must be what it is that is similar.

Love your pastoral shot, Mary...this one is a beauty.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ray. I find the countryside so beautiful and I want to record that beauty.
Nice capture, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Tom.
