I think it works even better than the previous shot, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I put the wrong one up the other day, Ray. I'm always in a hurry.
You have a knack for the landscape image...
Mary MacADNski: I just hold the camera in front of beauty. The landscape here is so beautiful - I just record the moment.

WOW...indeed a grand view, it all fits, that sky is making the picture, I hope you made it home in time.
Mary MacADNski: I live about 5 km from here and got no rain!

You delivered on the promise Mary.....almost the same angle as the one you posted the other day but in this shot you captured that heavy cloud that looks ready to burst .....i like it a lot... because i spend a lot of time looking at and shooting the sky....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: My grandmother commented one time that I was always looking and commenting on the sky since I was a little girl.

A brooding storm over the rolling landscape makes a great picture.

The previous comment about tilling against the flow of the hill - it can look like this http://louis.shutterchance.com/photoblog/Fields_/ and then you don't combat erosion so much.
Mary MacADNski: We have rules and laws here because erosion is so bad. I see in your shot that they make berms to prevent it. THAT is an excellent idea!

You can keep the snow Mary: I prefer this
Mary MacADNski: Someone else can keep the snow. I don't want it.
threathening clouds, love it
Mary MacADNski: A sky of promise.
Oh no the sky reminds me of England.
Mary MacADNski: It blew by us here in God's country, Chad.
Don't wanna think winter yet!!
I want sun!!!

Again, great contrast between sun and darkness

Oh yes. THE SKY. Sometimes it alone can totally make my day, Mary. smile
Mary MacADNski: I am a sky watcher. It is my muse - ever changing and never still.
Ah, now today I am looking at a sky just like that, unfortunately without the beautiful vista. (:o)
Mary MacADNski: Hop on a plane, my dear.
Looks as though you are about to get something good for the crop smile
Mary MacADNski: We've had the perfect amount of rain this year. The farmers are happy.
A very disturbing looking sky Mary, it seems you got home and managed to keep dry then.
Mary MacADNski: I did. Often rain blows by and misses our area but soaks everywhere else.
wow, lovely image.
Great tonality in that lighting
superb!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Rob.
Lovely gentle rolling countryside here Mary. Might get a watering by the look of it.
Mary MacADNski: It went by us but some places got a soaking.
Lovely light. I bet one can grow great carrots in that sandy soil.
Mary MacADNski: We are famous for potatoes but carrots grow wonderfully here too.
You get wonderful light with a threatening sky like this combined with sunshine.
Mary MacADNski: Exactly! You have to take advantage of that.
