Rocky Path

I like to explore rocky beaches and can get quite lost in them.  Read the story in yesterday's post of my lucky situation.

I wish that I could be there with you on these walks. You know how much I love rocks.
Mary MacADNski: Grab the dad and come over for the weekend. I will be off!!!
We used to play on beaches like this one when we were kids. I remember searching for those flat red sandstone pebbles and filling my pockets with them.

I bet that water trapped in the middle of your image, Mary, is very warm.
Mary MacADNski: I would say it is very warm. I explore the rocks and love the look of them.

So while you are lost on the beach, you took pictures because luckily you had the camera with you smile
Mary MacADNski: It is attached to me, Louis.

Certainly makes me want to revisit a beach.
Mary MacADNski: There is something on this beach you will love - a rusty wharf that I will post next week.

Thank God you and car made it okay, Mary. I bet you have some good tidal pools with all kinds of treasures. I wonder what was the best thing you ever found in one?
Mary MacADNski: I didn't give the tidal pool much more than a glance. I am more interested in the rocks. In rocks I have found huge treasures that made the national news.
Looks like a wonderful place to wander.
Mary MacADNski: Great place to wander. There is a cormorant community here too.
Lovely capture, Mary! Love the patterns in the rock formation. Yesterday`s was a wonderful image, too. Weren`t you lucky! (:o)
Mary MacADNski: Thanks so much. I was really lucky!

I love rock pools at low tide Mary
Mary MacADNski: Still a kid at heart, Chris.
Was that little pool teeming with little creatures? That's usually the delight of rock pools.
Mary MacADNski: I didn't see much in it, to tell the truth.
Beaches are great places to explore. You were lucky with your car or perhaps people there are more honestsmile
Mary MacADNski: The people were all tourists. I was very lucky.
great composition, good crop like this.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Chantal.

I love these kind of puddles, no matter what there is always something going on in them.
Mary MacADNski: They are steamy warm too.

Good texture
Mary MacADNski: This series is mostly about texture.
I have always been attracted by rock pools. Fine capture Mary!
Mary MacADNski: This is a small one with snails inhabiting it.
I like the simplicity of this composition Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Brian.
Very 'other-worldly"...
Mary MacADNski: Some of this beach is like mars with the rock towers.

I like the rock strata here. Beaches at low tide are much more fun than when the tide is in.
Mary MacADNski: Absolutely. High tide is just water. That's not what a beach is about!
Great rock formations that you could look at for hours smile
Mary MacADNski: Exactly. I get lost looking for fossils.
As I scrolled it up to write in the comment, I found that a crop of the made a more interesting picture - just below that big rock at the top left. One thing about on-screen, you can check out the crop smile
Mary MacADNski: I wish I had time to do extra but these shots are straight out of the camera.
Superb shot, MARY!!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Kavita!
I also love the shore, as close as one can get to wilderness in most places.
Mary MacADNski: I really need some beach time. Never have I had such little time on our wonderful beaches.
