Beautiful flowers...a gorgeous bunch, but you will need a barrel for a vase, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I've had my house filled with sunflowers the last month. They are in every room.

Sunflowers standing with their freshly washed, eager, and smiling faces, waiting to meet their new teacher on their first day of school.
Mary MacADNski: They all will be at the top of the class with their perfect posture.
A wonderful composition Mary.
A pity there were damaged!
Mary MacADNski: Yes, they were only meant for decoration but the family would be sad.
Oh we are a happy bunch, we love the sun and we cheer you up.
Mary MacADNski: When we die and whither away, we feed the birds, those that stay.

I believe the remains of the hurricane was heading towards the UK but as I'm not there, I don't really care! These are always such colourful flowers even on a dull day. They really glow in the sunlight seen here.
Mary MacADNski: This was two weeks ago. Where are you?

Mary how cheerful they are. Thank you for bringing some sunshine into my damp cloudy daysmile Have a good weekend
Mary MacADNski: It was a pouring rain day here and we certainly needed some brightness. It seemed dark all day.
Ahhhhh, so gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!
I want nothing but sunflowers on my grave!!
Mary MacADNski: Let's hope you don't die in the middle of winter.
This flowers live up to their name.
Mary MacADNski: This variety has such uniformity and are very big and bright.
Beautiful, sunny image. What a great end to the week. (:o)
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Rosalyn. It was the brightest thing up there yesterday, that's for sure.
Ah, I'd heard there is likely to be a 'shortage' of sunflower seeds this year, hadn't any idea why though. Maybe that hurricane is responsible.

Lucky you to have got this picture.
Mary MacADNski: I don't know the why of the shortage. The seeds would develop even if the plant is bent over and can still be harvested with combines. I should buy my bird seed early though if there might be a shortage.
You got them just in time then Mary
That's a lot of seeds! I hope they weren't all destroyed!
Mary MacADNski: They were mostly knocked down. Luckily they were not part of a seed crop - just there for pretty.
