Bird Seed Thief

Squirrels need chasing. The cats won't do it so I give it a go. All I can do is chase one higher in one of the highest trees.

The cats have their human well-trained, Mary.

[Our kitten has learned to play with the hamsters, even without 100% supervision...if th a hamster feels the play is too boisterous it stands on its hind legs and audibly voices disapproval...if that doesn't work, the kitten gets a nip on the lip or nose as a reinforcing lesson.]
Mary MacADNski: I love to hear your hamster/kitten story. You probably know I trained my cats not to bother birds. It makes life easier knowing everyone gets along.

LOL! Little devils aren't they? So engaging, though!
Mary MacADNski: They drive me bonkers. They eat their weight in birdseed every day and I have dozens of them living in my trees.

He's mocking you Mary: you could try not feeding the cats in future!
Mary MacADNski: If I did not feed the cats they would keep me awake all night crying for food.

I can just picture it Mary smile

I did not realise that their tails can look so ragged mary.
Mary MacADNski: I think it is just hair we are seeing not the thickness of the tail. Pests!
He seems to be so hungry Mary (lol).
Great capture!
Mary MacADNski: They are piling apples like crazy these days, preparing for winter.
I think Chris is right, I would have thought cats would rise to the challenge. Nice shot of the cheeky chap.

I see they are eating squirrels in England now
A really cute animal ... is my impression.
nice shot, Mary!!!
They really are pests, Mary, but soooo photogenic as you can see from this beautiful shot. You've captured him in full sunlight which gives this image such a happy feel.
At least this is a red one and not one of those awful grey pests that have taken over in the U.K.
Mary, I can just imagine you chasing round after this squirrel! They are quick, aren`t they? My husband is often to be seen leaping out of his armchair and racing down the garden to chase our resident squirrel off Pete`s walnut tree. It has been laden this year......but it`s now stripped bare! We have yet to sample a home grown walnut. lol! Lovely capture with the light illuminating his coat. (:o)
Mary MacADNski: They are terrible pests. Your husband would be off his nut here. I have an invasion.
Most of our red squirrels have been replace by the American grey one...First we get their squirrels and then it's McDonalds.....could there be a connection?
Mary MacADNski: LOL. I think you may have something there.
