Corn in the Fields

There are fields of corn and soybeans left to be harvested and potatoes too.  The farmers in the Maritimes experienced excellent weather this year.

You do wonderful agriscapes, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ray. The colours in the fields are subdued now and the land is less interesting but I still shoot and shoot.

I like Ray's term for it: agriscape!
Mary MacADNski: That is the proper word for a good lot of my shots.
Then I trust that cereal prices will reduce. Some hope.
Mary MacADNski: That will never happen!

I just dont know how they get agricultural land to look so good, or is it your magic touch at finding the the scenes smile
Mary MacADNski: You are very kind but it is just life in the country.
An outstanding landscape Mary. The scene and the color are excellent.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Shaun. Lots of country landscapes in my archives.
Wonderful capture Mary. I like the layers here!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard. This did show some narrow fields back to back.
My word that is late in the year to still be harvesting Mary, makes for a good picture though.
Mary MacADNski: The corn is harvested with the kernels dried. Everything is chopped up for silage.

It makes me think of time pass as a country boy
Mary MacADNski: I love being a country girl.
Looks like very productive land, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: We were called "the million acre farm." and still much of the province is in production.
P.E.I.'s fertile soil captured beautifully here, Mary. A nice little forested area in the background.
Mary MacADNski: Only corn and soybeans are left to harvest. Yes, the soil is great isn't it?
Another year on your Island has unfolded almost and it continues to be an enjoyable walk
Mary MacADNski: There are a few years under the belt here, Bill. I'm glad you enjoy it. The Island Walk link is to another blog
