Forest Creature

I walked in the woods this afternoon and feel wonderfully refreshed. I saw lovely leaves gently nestled into the undergrowth and other things popping out of it.  The woods in autumn is spectacular.  I miss my walking partner more than you know.

This is a super thing Mary: like a yellow version of our Fly Agaric

I miss my walking partner as well Mary, it's just me and my dog(Sam) now. This is a lovely specimen..smile
Mary MacADNski: I wish I had a dog. I don't like being in the woods alone any more though my whole life I loved it. We have coyotes and in the neighbouring province, there have been killings by coyotes in the woods - Provincial parks!

I had a lovely walk in the woods the other day too, it does make you feel good. I like how you can see its just pushed through the earth smile
Mary MacADNski: Most people on the island like the beach but I love the woods more than anyplace. I try go every day off if I am able.

I seem to have less time to go and have a walk with the camera since I went part time than I did when i was full time!

This picture is a delight and reminds me of what I am missing
Mary MacADNski: For me, I went from working in my community to working in town in the last year and have no time for the woods but I get out when I can.
Lovely picture, Mary. Saw similar myself just a couple of hours ago walking in the fields.
Mary MacADNski: Oh, for a walk! I just got home from work and it will be dark in a short bit.
