Small Blueberry Field

I showed a blueberry field in it's various seasons here one year in sort of a series.  This is a different field.

We love blueberry fields in their seasonal changes.  Where?  On An Island Walk.

Exceeding pretty!
Mary MacADNski: They are indeed. There are some I would like to have time to drive to so I could get a photo. Maybe next year.
My goodness! It is like a beautiful carpet. (:o)
Mary MacADNski: They are stunning to see.
Lovely colour Mary eye catching.
Mary MacADNski: It certainly is when you drive by.

What a strange red colour Mary: I see you've matched it with your text too
Mary MacADNski: I always match my text with the photos. It's all been wasted with you, I see. (wiping my brow)

Such a pretty sight Mary
Mary MacADNski: I love them!
Congratulations Mary, this is stunning.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Shaun. They are so pretty this time of year.
Lovely colours, and misty too, with nice grass in the foreground to give it all depth.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, I like it a lot that way.
does it smell too?
Mary MacADNski: No, it is in woods so just smells like woods in autumn.
Blueberries are supposed to be one of these miracle foods...whatever! I just like the taste!

Makes a great colout shot
Mary MacADNski: I love them - raw or cooked. I picked about 3 liters one day and enjoyed them raw but I've had my shares of slices of pie as well.
Lovely carpet of red.
Mary MacADNski: Aren't they gorgeous?
A whole field of blueberries. What a treasure! Is this a good neighbour, Mary, someone who would be happy to share the crop with you?
Mary MacADNski: This is not a neighbour but I do have sources for blueberries.
what amazing colours Mary, another great shot.
Is this a wild field of Blueberries or is it semi cultivated?
Mary MacADNski: These are wild blueberries but the fields are cultivated to make mechanical harvesting possible.
This is so painterly... and I mean that in the most positive way.
Mary MacADNski: That's good. I just walked in the door from painting group.
The lovely colour goes so well with the green of the firs smile
Mary MacADNski: Yes, the red colour is a perfect foil.

I always imagined that blueberries grew on bigger bushes; like blackberries I would have thought. Something I've learnt today!
Mary MacADNski: These are wild blueberries, the small ones. There is such a thing as high bush blueberries that grow on taller bushes and the berries are large.
Great colours.
Mary MacADNski: Yes. Blueberry fields are really pretty in autumn.
Interesting set of colours, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Lots of variety here, Tom.
Amazing colour
Mary MacADNski: Blueberry fields are prettier in autumn than any other time.
Amazing colors, très jolie photo. A+ VAL smile
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Val. I love these fields in the fall!
