Intense Shower

All the way home from work a few days ago I saw this big cloudburst ahead of me.  It looked like it may be over my house but when I got closer to home found that it was still further along and my village missed it.

That was some soaking that someone was getting. Well done for spotting it and being able to photograph it.
Mary MacADNski: Turned out that this was most likely a snow shower. Now that I know that snow fell here and there it makes sense why is is white instead of dark grey.
Quite a spectacular image Mary. The tones are terrific!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard.
I love seeing these storms at a distance, very fascinating.
Mary MacADNski: Come to find out, this was most likely a snow shower. The first of the season, there were many across the province that day.

Sure looks like the zipper gave up, Mary.

Love that red grass in the foreground.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, the grasses turn reddish brown but this light boosted it some. Turned out that this was likely a snow shower.
Well worth stopping for Mary, I presume you must keep a camera in your car for such opportunities.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, my camera is with me if I am in the car. Turned out that this was likely snow.

Can't beat a really heavy downpour for drama
Mary MacADNski: Turns out that this was most likely that nasty S word. - snow. The first of the season and it fell here and there in random snow showers across the province.

Storm chasing is very popular in the US, I believe (seem to have more than their fair share of nutters smile ). Glad you made it home in the dry.
Mary MacADNski: I was so surprised as I though it was over my place but was just further on.
Lovely shot.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, John. I felt like a storm chaser.
Still good light even with showers smile
Mary MacADNski: I believe it may have been a snow shower as I heard snow fell here and there that day.
