The depth of field has created an odd illusion, unless something else is going on: the water level behind the kayak appears to be higher than the viewer's side. I envy the fellow - I love kayaking, and didn't get out even once last summer. sad
Mary MacADNski: Just the movement of the water caused by the slicing of it's surface, I'd say.

Mary MacADNski: He was great to have around. Her boyfriend travels a lot so this very nice fellow being at home was great.
Splendid Boat Friday he appears to be having fun.
Mary MacADNski: My daughter says he does this every day when he comes home.
Love the way the light is catching the water in this one, Mary. (:o)
Mary MacADNski: It was so bright, I was hoping they would turn out.

We all seem to be joining boat friday tongue Excellent for starting the weekend.
Mary MacADNski: This way, I could upload boats and cats for Fri and Sat in advance. It is hard to keep up sometimes. Last week I was stuck two days in a row grabbing from the unassigned bin. It held only three photos.
That is a hard job
Mary MacADNski: It is but this fellow does it every day.

He looks a big strapping lad. Seems he's spotted you, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, he saw us from way off. We were across the road taking photos. When we returned to the car he was coming along toward us. We were all on our way home.
I've always thought this is a pleasant pastime but being a very poor swimmer it is something I have never done.
Mary MacADNski: My sis in law can't swim but kayaks. You wear a life jacket.

Mary MacADNski: Big boy!
Looks like an invigorating pastime.
Mary MacADNski: Kayaking is very popular in eastern Canada.
THe glittering water makes this a more special picture
