photoblog image Warm Weather Gull

Warm Weather Gull

Most of Canada has been experiencing bad weather, either freezing tempertures or big, windy snowstorms.  We on Prince Edward Island are experiencing the same storm systems as the heavy snowfalls but have been on the warm side of these fronts.  We have showers or rain and mild temperatures but still very strong winds.  God's country.

We love those summer days at the beach on An Island Walk.

Nice Gull: keep warm Mary!
Mary MacADNski: It's eleven degrees - very warm for mid-December. Glad we missed the snow.
King of all he surveys.
Take care Mary in all the wind and cold.
Mary MacADNski: It's windy but not cold at all. The rain is coming and going.

Well...gull's country, at least...
Mary MacADNski: The rest of the country is having quite a time but we are in a wet, windy heaven.
Bit like a 'fair weather friend'.
Mary MacADNski: That was what I was thinking with the poor reference in the title.
I thought I lived in gods country Mary..that is until a couple of weeks ago..Its been nothing but frost and snow..and we have a lot more coming in a day or two.
Mary MacADNski: From what I've seen it is very similar though you have mountainous regions and we do not. I've heard it said before that we were similar.

It's funny how that happens, Mary...where you expect worse weather it's not so bad and vice versa. Enjoy the balmy weather while you have it. God's country, indeed! smile
Mary MacADNski: The weather is changing tomorrow. It will be minus one after a week of 10 to 14 plus. It certainly is nothing like Christmas. I'm not complaining one bit!

Let's hope the gull is getting a little warmth from the rock. Glad that the snow is avoiding you so far.
Mary MacADNski: It is still avoiding us though the temp will drop to minus 1 after a week of 10 - 14 plus. All around us was destruction but the island got no damage from severe flooding. There are still people trapped in villages in Nova Scotia. West of here it was severe snow. People in Ontario were trapped on a major highway with snow conditions. Truly blessed this time.
As usual I got it all wrong I imagined all of Canada in winter to be, Parkas, Igloos and Husky Dogs with the odd Polar Bear for good measure.
Mary MacADNski: You're kidding, right? It is a huge country and weather conditions are as variable as ....
Great shot Mary. Could we have your weather please, we've got more snow on the way.
Mary MacADNski: It is coming to an end. It will be minus one after a week of 10 to 14 plus. It certainly is nothing like Christmas. I'm not complaining one bit!

Taking in the sunshine, thinking about lunch - lovely clear shot Mary.
Mary MacADNski: The sun does wonders. Thanks.
