Hot and Cold

The water was none too warm on this beach day. My daughter is part fish so did not mind it as much as her friend. I'm sure her new daughter will be a water baby like she was.

It's great to be like this Mary: I was always very nervous of water myself
Mary MacADNski: I was too so ensured my kids would not be.

difference of opinion
Mary MacADNski: Difference of manner of entering the water.
Some feel the cold more than others. The water looks invitingly clean
Mary MacADNski: Some jump right in. Some always smile for the camera even if they are freezing.
Nice photo Mary, even if it is chilly they look as if they are having fun.
Mary MacADNski: It was one of the most wonderful (and fun) beach days I've ever had.

Is she a mermaid mary?
Mary MacADNski: She has two legs and no scales.
They look like they are having fun, I either have to be to hot or the water has to be really warm before I go in for a swim smile
Mary MacADNski: It was incredibly hot but this beach is known for cold water. It is a very deep channel and drops right off into the channel. I an like you but even I had to get in a few times to cool off.

Nice crisp Image
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, vintage. Bright summer light.
It must be great to be brought up really close to the sea, a great lifestyle.
Mary MacADNski: Absolutely! To be surrounded by beaches is a good thing.
The girl on the left looks as though the chilly water is not quite to her liking but a great image of two people enjoying themselves Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I have one of them bot smiling too but this was more real life. This beach is very cold as there is a deep channel close to shore.

Very brave, Mary. I won't consider going into water of anything less than 85 deg F.
Mary MacADNski: This beach is very cold as there is a deep channel close to shore. PEI as a whole is advertised as having the warmest water north of the Carolinas, which is in the southern US.
Clearly one of them feels it's a bit too chilly!
Mary MacADNski: It was the interest of the shot that made me choose this for now. I have a shot of them both smiling too.
Wonderful capture, Mary. Opposite reactions; such fun.

The last time I ventured into the cold waters of P.E.I. I lasted only a few minutes; not due to the cold but because there were so many jelly fish that it was almost impossible not to get stung. Got out of there in a hurry and from then on stuck to those lovely, safe, warm pockets of water on the beach that attract the toddlers. smile
Mary MacADNski: You got it exactly. I have a shot of both smiling but the opposite reaction was a much more interesting shot. This is Tracadie Harbour which is known for it's cold water because of the channel that is so close to shore. It is popular as it is next to the National Park which does not allow dogs and charges money. This beach is next door, free and allows dogs. It is mighty cold though.
Fun for the water babies when the weathers right Mary.
Mary MacADNski: The weather was right this day. It was the hottest day of the summer at that time. We were in the midst of a huge heat wave.
Do they skinny dip as well Mary ;-)
Mary MacADNski: Not at this beach. This beach is a cold one.
My days of going into the North sea, even in the height of Summer are probably behind me. When I was young I was OK once I got in!

Lovely shot of these two having fun

I love this picture, so much fun.
I hope your granddaughter will be swimming a lot, it is so much fun!!
Mary MacADNski: She will be soon. My daughter is planning it already.
Love the fact they're wearing sunglasses smile
Mary MacADNski: It was a cool off dip. It was the hottest day of the summer. We were in the midst of a huge heat wave.
