photoblog image Another Beach Another Day

Another Beach Another Day

All shots last week were from the same beach on one day.  Where I live the beaches are more like this with red rocks.

That's a beach I would love to stroll along, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I find these rocky beaches much more interesting to stroll too.
I love your rugged red beaches Mary
Mary MacADNski: As do I. We are having a huge snowstorm today. I'd rather be in a warm, red beach.

It looks like very soft rock too Mary
Mary MacADNski: Not all are like that. Some are very hard and sculpted. I've shown the beach on some land I own in the western part of the province a few times where the hard sculptured beaches are so beautiful.

the red stones make a nice image with the water
Mary MacADNski: It's wonderful!
Now this is a proper beach Mary
Mary MacADNski: It is wonderful to explore the beaches like this.
Looks like the Cliff is eroding same as we see in North Yorkshire.
Wow colour co ordinated captions into the bargain !!!
Mary MacADNski: This beach certainly has some sandy looking soil and will definitely erode more than some.
Interesting beach though with its red rocks and that formation at the back. I bet there is always something different to see there, or a different appearances with the changing light.
Mary MacADNski: I wish I could remember which beach this is. I've been on lots of them because they are wonderful to explore.
I remember as kid spending whole days at a red rocky beach just like the one you've captured so well here, Mary. It was very close to Charlottetown, I believe it was called, Rocky Point.
Mary MacADNski: I was at Rocky Point in October just for a drive and some photos of Charlottetown from that side of the harbour.

Not too good for building sandcastles but I bet this is great in storms.
Mary MacADNski: There are sandy areas and sandy red beaches. The coastline here is always changeable.
I like these kind of rocks. we have got some over in Devon
Mary MacADNski: Coastlines like this are wonderful for exploration.
Great for exploring Mary smile
Mary MacADNski: These are the best kinds of beaches. I found a very old, very rare type of fossil on a beach such as this.

Great song recommendation!
Mary MacADNski: Yeah! Thank you! I love Dan Hicks
So you see the beach in all seasons then Mary..Opportunities for sure..Great colours in that rock.
Mary MacADNski: each is wonderful in all seasons. I would need snowshoes to get down to mine at the moment.
I look forward to a nice long vacation on this beautiful island of yours. Been meaning to go there most of my life and reminders like this photo are valuable to me. Thanks!
Mary MacADNski: It is the place to be! Actually the lisence plates in '73 said, "The Place to Be in '73."
Like everyone else Mary I think you have some great beaches near your home, they look generally natural and unspoilt by the razzamataz of seaside resorts.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, though there are summer homes everywhere too.
Not so much a beach, more a rock pile! Great scene, though!
Mary MacADNski: You might be surprised if I turned around.
