photoblog image Winter Rose

Winter Rose

To beat the winter's lack of colour I've been buying lots of flowers.  It's fun to play with them.

You've picked a real beauty for this shot, Mary. Such a deep, rich yellow; just gorgeous. I bet it has a wonderful scent, also.
Mary MacADNski: The roses were not that nicely scented. I think they've bred roses so much that the scent is gone from them. Very sad!

This is a lovely apricot colour Mary
Mary MacADNski: I've been buying the roses as mixed - not all one colour- and have been getting some awesome colours.

Can l guess and say the roses name is "Just Joey"
Mary MacADNski: I don't know. I've been buying a mixed dozen. They are grown somewhere in the world but not here. The tulips I've been buying are grown here though.
A beautiful rose. Flowers cheer us all up in winter!
Mary MacADNski: They certainly work for me. I love flowers indoors year round.

Oh-Oh-Oh. That would be my favorite color of them all, Mary. Good choice. smile
Mary MacADNski: I love yellow roses too. There were some gorgeous orange roses you would have loved. I may put up a bouquet that features one for tomorrow.

You could buy lots of paint and play with that.
Mary MacADNski: I have a ton of paint and nine paintings on the go. I seem to have temporarily lost my muse but it should be back soon.
Well framed and presented.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, John. The roses that start to droop in a bouquet do well in a bowl.
A beautiful rose Mary and you have presented it so well.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks so much, Laurette.

Wow...that looks like it was a lot of fun, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It does not take much to amuse me, Ray.
You really have done some lovely work here Mary especially as you post direct from the camera.
Mary MacADNski: I cropped a set of keys out of the shot but that's all.
Nicely played here, too, Mary
Mary MacADNski: I love to play and am easily amused.

What a lovely colour, Mary; good detail, too.
Mary MacADNski: I loved these goldy orangy colours. Very inspiring.
Lovely. Lovely. Love the framing.
