With warm weather this week the cats were happy to be running and jumping around outdoors.  This shot though, was taken last year.

Tiger is in hospital...again...some mystery illness that seems to have come from her habit of eating the fake christmas tree...
Mary MacADNski: Oh, no! I hope she comes around. Christmas is over by the way. I would say it is poisoning from the chemicals in the fake.

They'll soon be runing around outside: the season is progressing
Mary MacADNski: Most of the snow is gone. The ground did not freeze this year so the grass is still green and won't take long to grow tall. My daffs are out of the ground. Spring is on it's way.

Ready, set, pounce....spring is fun isn't it....we are still waiting...Duhh....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: We are covered in snow this morning and it is still snowing. It will melt quickly though in a few days. It is called poor man's fertilizer when it comes at this late date.

A good vantage point point, Mary. She gets to see possible prey early on.
Mary MacADNski: They love this rock wall for jumping and running but are not interested in mice.
A great vantage point from which to attack the unwary mouse!
Mary MacADNski: I taught them through classical conditioning not to hunt birds and they carried it through to mice. I have to catch the mice, sadly.
Hunting I presume! Lovely capture Mary.
Mary MacADNski: My cats have been taught not to hunt but they run and leap on this garden wall.

This is when you see their wild heritage lurking under the surface, Mary. smile
Mary MacADNski: They love to run and jump on this wall and in the trees.

A cat crouches like this, I expect a bird out of picture to the right.
Mary MacADNski: My cats were taught not to hunt. They love to run and jump on this wall though.
Ready...steady...pounce, got you. Looks like this beautifuly marked cat is having a great time. A lovely capture.
Mary MacADNski: The cats love to run and leap on this wall.
Something very interesting has caught her eye, Mary. I love the anticipation and how well balanced she is on top of the rock. Great catch!
Mary MacADNski: The cats love to run on this wall, leaping and running, then jumping into the trees.

les souris et autres mulots n'ont qu' a bien se tenir !
Mary MacADNski: Mes chats ont été formés à ne pas chasser, mais ils aiment à courir et à sauter sur ce mur de pierre et dans les arbres.
That's one small step for a cat, one giant leap for cat-kind. smile
Mary MacADNski: Perfect! The cats love running along this wall and jumping the gaps. They do the same thing with trees.

He definitely has his eye on something! Check under your bed later for the bones - we had a cat once that like to deliver 'surprise presents' every now and again.
Mary MacADNski: I trained the cats not to hunt. We enjoy the birds together. She was just leaping from stone to stone, a favorite game that both cats like to play.

Mary MacADNski: Tabbies are a breed known throughout the world. To me, they make wonderful cats.
