Fence Posts

There is a definite advantage to early spring hiking. There are no cattle in the fields so you can explore sections without worrying about having to cross fields with animals - or go around them.

Very fine pastoral with its buff grass, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: The green is breaking through with today's rain. I could see my lawn growing.
Nice one Mary, the lines make it, it's all about the lines..

Mary MacADNski: On that we agree.

That is a definite advantage Mary
Mary MacADNski: I've ripped clothing on fences my whole life. I have also run from bulls. This is much better, indeed.

I may be naive but I never worry about crossing a field with animals in it. Our hiking magazines sometimes have letters in them, though, about bad experiences people have with cattle. I did once have a sheep steal a sandwich but its need may have been greater than mine!

Looks like this area has been under snow and ice for time?
Mary MacADNski: I have been chased by bulls a few times but with enough of a head start and adrenalin, I escaped any damage. Yes, tomorrow's shot will show that there is still some snow in shaded areas against tree lines.
There are some odd shapes and sizes of posts there. We make really nice machined round ones, much better grin
Mary MacADNski: If it is an electric strand it doesn't have to be big. Barbed wire requires a bit larger.
I guess in a few weeks time this will look lush with the grass then Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I would say it is green now. We had our first rain today and sun on the weekend. My lawn greened up and grew today.
Still looking a little worse for wear from Winter, but showing the promise of spring. Nice feel to the landscape!
Mary MacADNski: We do this walk every spring. It proves again and again that the cows have the best views.
I had a walk this weekend and had to walk through a field with roaming ponies in it, not one for trusting them I was a bit nervous!
Mary MacADNski: I would have been nervous too. It is a drag when you have to walk arouind a field though - to get to the other side.
Looks like someone's fenced in a fence!
Mary MacADNski: Different fields of beef cattle - moms with young, males and a mixture.
