Mary MacADNski: I went to bed before any election coverage started so I could be surprised this morning. I WAS surprised this morning.

Well let's hope the right lot wins: like this wonderful collection of candidates!
Mary MacADNski: I was not pleased but will live with it.
That is quite a colony!! Most I have seen at once is around 10
Mary MacADNski: Sometimes there are hundreds on this little breakwater in Charlottetown Harbour.

I bet the birds are talking about who will be the next Prime Minister. WE have local elections this week when town and country councillors get elected. Most people use it to vote on the state of the national government, though which is odd.
Mary MacADNski: We have four seats in PEI and only one in the leading party after last night's election. As usual....
I really don't know much about Canadian politics to be honest, no doubt whichever side wins they won't actually do as they promised anyway. I like this shot very much Mary I might add.
Mary MacADNski: Ha, ha. I think you are absolutely right about politics. Glad you like the shot.
town hall meeting, LOL
Mary MacADNski: Talking the national election results.

Beaks will clack...
Mary MacADNski: And they certainly did.
Oh, the tongues are wagging, and I am sure this group of birds are glad they don't have to elect a new government! lol
Mary MacADNski: The deed is done for four more years.
Queueing for fish?
Mary MacADNski: Getting some early morning sun.
We have local elections on Thursday and also a referendum on changing our voting system from the dumb first past the post system to the equally dumb alternative vote system. The latter pretends to be a form of proportional representation but isn't
Mary MacADNski: Our system is similar to the British system. The proponents of proportional representation have tried federally and in our province we added a question about changing the system on the last election. No change was forthcoming.
PS I love the picture
Mary MacADNski: Why, thank you.

They look like Cormorants. Is this the early equivelent of meeting for a chat at the well. Great image
Mary MacADNski: These are definitely cormorants. With their numbers at certain gathering places, they could easily be our provincial bird.
I bet they are still wagging now! I really like this shot smile
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Linda. There were major changes with this election so there is still lots of wagging.
An impressive line up, Mary. The new Cabinet?
Mary MacADNski: That will come next, I suppose. Today, smiles and tears.
