The Little Miss

A cat's eyes seem to shine at night

due to the reflective layer called the tapetum.

It contains tiny cells with reflective properties that,

when light enters its eyes,it bounces back

and appears like the cat's eyes are glowing.

As I write this on Thursday afternoon, I am waiting for the clinic to call to tell me that the little puss has been spayed and will be ready for pick up tomorrow.  Kenz and Bell felt back to themselves for the small respite but I missed the little thing.

Wonderful composition, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ray.
Ah she's grown on you hasn't she? smile This is a lovely photo of her!
Mary MacADNski: She most definitely has. I would keep her forever. She is curled up beside me sweet as can be.
I love this capture, he looks so amazed by something, what is it you wonder...
Mary MacADNski: Maybe a fly or a bee.
Charming image Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Martin. She's a charming puss.
I've fallen out with cats, ours got me up at 5.30am today, thats me grumpy for the rest of the day! Another nice pic' Mary, i hope she's ok.
Mary MacADNski: Oh no! My alarm is at 5:30 but I usually wake about 5:15. Once in a while Bella will nudge me in the face over and over at 5:15 or so. I know exactly what you mean.

This one seems so full of character
Mary MacADNski: She certainly was a wekk ago when she was in heat. I don't think the cats nor I will forget that!
What a wonderful combination of textures. I hope the "little puss" is doing well...
Mary MacADNski: Cats are amazing. She has just received a hysterectomy and can jump off and off things or do anything she wants without showing any pain. She has been quiet though. Anything is quiet from what we experienced last week! I only had one cat in heat before. It was a trip!
I hope they'll get along together, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I think they are fine and the little miss will be going with my son eventually.

I'm sure little one will be fine. My first cat I took to be neutured came back and just sat on his favourite chair for several days looking very reproachful at me.
Mary MacADNski: That's the male for you. She's sitting in the chair glad she doesn't have to raise another brood.
Purrrrrfect!
