Still on Probation

From the deck 3

The ducks take a while before they are comfortable when we are outside but they eventually do.

They are looking quite comfortable it this stage, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It has taken quite a while and some days they still scoot down pond when the door opens.
Cute photo, Mary! I'm glad they've gotten used to your presence.
Mary MacADNski: Slowly, they are but Mom is still wary.

Mary MacADNski: Dad is gone out with the boys.
Typical family picture, nice one Mary
Mary MacADNski: Mom is a good caregiver - Dad is out gallivanting.

Went fr a walk yesterday and saw Egyptian geese with downy young. Always thought that they waited for after our winter.

Nice deck.

Mary MacADNski: I think climates are changing tremendously. We are lacking heat in Eastern Canada this spring (and now summer) which is odd and I think many, many places are having extreme changes.

Looks like time for the wash and brush-up. Is mum keeping guard?
Mary MacADNski: It is the best time to watch ducks. Five minutes earlier too, when they were bathing.
excellent
nice framing too, adds to the effect.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Rob. I did cut a few off.

We are seeing these goslings/ducklings everywhere we go now, Mary. They are SOOOOOO cute! I hope they all survive.
Mary MacADNski: They are past the danger stage now. They are getting huge!

How cute is this? It must be so much fun watching them grow up Mary
Mary MacADNski: It is really cute. These are in the wild but I raised them - and fed them there. It was great while raising kids.
Love the colours in the water mary, and I always like ducks!
Mary MacADNski: Me too! I raised them for a few years and got to love them even more.
I see mum is still keeping open a wary eye!
Mary MacADNski: She most definitely is. I don't feed them so they are completely wild.
Is this your pond? How fab!
Mary MacADNski: It is and it is very fab!
