Lovely shot - I hate it that I find them wild along the motorway in Sweden and I can't grow them in the garden!
Mary MacADNski: This has happened to so many people, my mother included. She got some one year after numerous tries but they didn't return the next year.
Aren't they just the most fabulous flower Mary.....they can grow anywhere and are so beautiful
After the eruption of Mount St. Helen in 1980....the first vegetation that grew back through the ash was one bright red Lupin....i can't remember now where i read it but i found it when i posted some of them last summer....peter
Mary MacADNski: That is a great fact about Mount St Helen. Lupins are pretty tough. With our cool spring wildflowers seemed to have lasted a bit longer this year.
Lovely lupin capture, Mary, and I agree, they do make beautiful flower arrangements.
Mary MacADNski: It's true. I just got off the lawn mower and the gardening work never ends. I am missing time here because I have none spare due to outside work.
