Nice "air-show" style here, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: They are well trained in their formations.
Simply serene Mary....i love it....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: I was under their flyway. Had to keep checking my shirt.
I like the way you framed these- so simple, but striking!
Mary MacADNski: Glad to find birds and not just blue sky as I usually do.
approaching in a perfect formation to dive bomb the one with the camera grin
Mary MacADNski: They had already passed over. I checked my shirt.

Maybe on their way back to the colony Mary
Mary MacADNski: That is it. I was standing under their route.

Love it. Very simple but so effective. A cracking composition, Mary. I like the "foot down" on the second shag - a slight trimming in flight?

Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Alan. A fantastic result for me because every time I try to get birds in flight I get only blue sky. I was pleased to get birds this time.
great line up
Mary MacADNski: LOL They constantly practice this maneuver.
Very good indeed Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Brian.

Perfect
Mary MacADNski: I think they practice.
simplicity is beauty
Mary MacADNski: I agree, Ray. Thanks.
Wow!!! This is a fantastic shot, Mary. How fortuitous to be able to capture them flying in formation toward the camera.
Mary MacADNski: As you know, I have a terrible time capturing birds in flight. Usually when I try the result is pure blue sky with no birds.

That is incredibly clever Mary, or am I misinterpreting your title?
Mary MacADNski: It is a very simple, descriptive title. Hard to misinterpret.
A simple picture that works for me
Mary MacADNski: I have such a problem getting birds in flight. I was pleased to find a shot that was not only blue.
"Steady on the approach, get ready to release bombs!"
Mary MacADNski: I was a bit afraid of their bombs. I was under the edge of the runway.
