Looks cosy...and the pond is close by!
Mary MacADNski: This was a large lake and the ducks had taken an old boat slip as their colony.
Looks like as great a place as any! I'd bed down there! smile
Mary MacADNski: I've heard of sleeping with the fishes....

Hopefully some new chicks were raised Mary
Mary MacADNski: There were only adults among these ducks. I wondered where the babies were ans moments later they all came toward us from the water. They don't need the rest the moulters need so were off playing in the water.
Is it hidden?. I think she's watching you
Mary MacADNski: No, she was not hidden. There were many ducks there.
Looks very snug!
Mary MacADNski: She was very relaxed.
hard to tell it was a duck
Mary MacADNski: There were twenty or more ducks there so I had no problem to tell.

I like your title Mary, you tell it how it is.
Mary MacADNski: Too tired to think up anything more descriptive, Chad.
A good place to hide!
Mary MacADNski: She is among many other ducks all resting.

A lovely place to make her bed and enjoy looking after her little ones smile
Mary MacADNski: This one is not sitting on a nest. She is among many. They are moulting and resting.

I'd keep my head down if it were me! Ducks are sucjh amusing birds.
Mary MacADNski: I love them! I raised them for years when my kids were young. We had a marvelous time.
Hence the expression "Duck down" to avoid something
Mary MacADNski: I think you're right about that.
