Restive Peace

My wonderful friend and hiking partner lost her battle with cancer this weekend after a valiant fight.  We hiked this lake many, many times. Her ashes will be spread over a lake in another part of Canada where she loved to fish with her dad. Rest in Peace, my brave and beautiful friend.

Oh-Oh-Oh, Mary. I hate your loss. May she rest in peace! This reminds me of our family-cottage lake in Michigan where my brother's ashes are buried near the shoreline.
Mary MacADNski: We said our goodbyes a month ago when she was here settling up her estate. We talked about our many walks and what a pleasure they were for us. We did 12 - 17 km most days but these two lakes were used if we wanted a one hour walk on trail.

So very sad Mary, but you will visit here many times I am sure and hear her voice whispering on the breeze as you sit in contemplation of times past here together.
Mary MacADNski: I know you are right about that, Brian.

Oh gosh, I am sorry for your loss. May she rest in peace. Lovely pic..."Air dheis Dei go raibh a n-anam". (In Gaelic Irish..."May she be at the right hand of God.")
Mary MacADNski: She's already there. David (my late brother) sits at the right hand of God and he will squeeze her in there too.
BTW way phonetically pronounced 'Air-yesh-day-gu-rev-a-nan-am'
Mary MacADNski: Good Lord!
My condolences on your very sad loss Mary. I will remember her at Mass tomorrow in Boston.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Frances. I went on two hikes today in memory of her.
