This butterfly was very happy feeding on my green cart but was very shy of me and the camera.  The surroundings, a garbage can, are not at all attractive in a butterfly picture.

Monarchs are buggers Mary! They are very wary- but you got those lovely wings - like a stained glass window! Beautiful!

There is no clue that this is on a garbage can, Mary, so no worries there. The Monarch is a beauty.

What lovely colour structures there is on those wings.
Fabulous shot and wing design. Looks like they might be inspiration for pretty lampshades

lovely butterfly with all its patterns, we have had very few this year smile
Yeah - difficult to pose these!
