Do you remember when they were in rectangular bales Mary... or even the hay rides...i dogrin.... i like your composition with the contrast between the green and the gold....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: There are still some small bales around but more often with hay, not straw. Some people still use their hay lofts for storage and these big bales are useless for that.
Am I being paranoid, or are they chasing me? smile
Mary MacADNski: No, just staring at you across a crowded field.
I never tire of seeing these golden fields and the shapes in them!
Mary MacADNski: I like them too.

They are everywhere at this time of year
Mary MacADNski: Yes, fields can change dramatically from morning till night. A field full of them in the morning will be empty when I am returning from work in the afternoon.
Yes there are plenty in rural Worcestershire too
Mary MacADNski: Certainly a sign of late summer everywhere.
These pictures are wonderful to see Mary. Beautiful color.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Frances. Life in the country.....
Very nice photo!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Victoria. It's that time of year.

Beautiful golden fields, a delightful scene.
Mary MacADNski: It's a sign of the season and soon to be finished.

I love the gold fields with their big bales, lovely sight to see smile
Mary MacADNski: 'tis the season....
Love the golden tones, Mary. When I see bales of straw sitting in the fields like this, I know that in a few months those same fields will be blanketed with the white stuff.
Mary MacADNski: God, don't mention it!
Same story over here Mary
Mary MacADNski: It's nice but sad too to think that winter is coming - so soon after it just ended.
I like round bales, don't see so many now as huge oblong ones seem to be in favour, I suppose they are more efficient to store space wise. Nice shot.
Mary MacADNski: We see only the occasional large rectangular bale. Round are the norm. There are still lots of small rectangular bakes though - older farmers mostly for a few reasons.
I always enjoy seeing these sort of pictures from you in the Autumn Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It's my pleasure, Brian. This is what I love to look at.
A great shot of autumn and harvest time.
It must be time to get all those bales into the barn before winter sets in.
Mary MacADNski: Wrapped ones are stored outside. These will be in soon.
The color is amazing. I feel like jumping in the picture to run in the fields.! Excellent capture & composition.!!
Mary MacADNski: Thar is definitely a good thing about no crops in the fields. You and get some different walks in.

They are looking bit smug...probably cos they have found a way to winter out of the weather!
Mary MacADNski: They are enjoying freedom. They'll soon be indoors or wrapped in plastic.

Mary MacADNski: Thanks so much. I don't spend much time composing but usually take a few shots.
