Fall, Again

Funny to come across this.  I've not been on any fall hikes in the woods yet so was looking for fall photos to fill in. I came across this photo which I've probably shown before but what makes it interesting is that it what I am painting this scene right now.  I am seeing it full size here and it kind of freaked me out as I usually use only a small photo for reference.


Also, Happy Birthday, Little Brother.  Wish I could be in the woods with You.

Fall, Again

Great! Wet road is a nice bonus, Mary.

I don't remember seeing this gem before.
Mary MacADNski: It would have been a three or four years since it was here. I can't remember either.
Wow Colors and mist! Beautiful!
Mary MacADNski: The sun was vaporizing the rain. I have a ton of pictures from that day.
This is so very beautiful Mary... the red earth on your Island adds so much much more to the fall colours....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: It is most attractive in these colours bur blue skies and water look pretty good against it too.

It is certainly starting to turn Mary: are there grizzlies in that lot?
Mary MacADNski: Out largest wild animal id the coyote We don't even have deer.
The color in this is wonderful Mary. The road makes this really good.
Mary MacADNski: The roads here in this neighbourhood are awesome.

Methinks that some large equipment uses this road Mary, did you see anything?
Mary MacADNski: Only cars and trucks. It had been graded recently with a large grader.

Some lovely colours already, Mary. Some of your dirt roads look to be in far better condition than our paved roads sad
Mary MacADNski: I guess you've seen our paved country road today. - one known for multiple and mighty frost heaves in spring and late winter.
I love the color pallet in the leafs, fall in a flash
Mary MacADNski: You have a way with words! Nice.
It is about as flat as a roller coaster Mary but I bet the colours look great at the height of autumn. (Glad to hear you sorted the "other picture" problem.)
Mary MacADNski: This is close to peak leaf for the year I would think because we're to receive heavy rain which will knock many down. I can't believe that after all these years of problems is that SC is not compatible with Mozilla.
Great red undulating track, flanked by the promise of even more colour to come, worth visiting again, a little later on Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Quite a few will disappear after tonight and tomorrow's heavy rain. I will be here next Tuesday, same time. I will grab another shot.
The road really makes this picture Mary.

Yes, the abundance, exuberance of colours in the autumn or fall is overwhelming, the iron-red ground/pavement cannot compete with these beautiful colours! I can imagine the feeling to go down and up and down and up by car...along this road. A dear congratulation for your 'Little Brother'! (I too have a 'little brother'wink
Mary MacADNski: The red clay roads tie all these autumn colours together. When the rain saturates the road and leaves, nature becomes like a work of art.
