October Memories

My lovely granddaughter with a bump on her nose and drool on her chin.

Click to Play some lovely jazz:

The Rozz Nash Sextet - Tenderly

and George Benson - This Masquerade, in my opinion the best ever version of this wonderful song.

Happy Halloween!

Now that is a seriously luxurious drool!
Mary MacADNski: LOL She likes to kiss her Grandma and I wish I had thought of the drool in that way.
I love it Mary... she is adorable... i thought that they found these in the cabbage patch... and not in the pumpkin patchsmile....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: The special ones come from the pumpkin patch or the flower patch.

...and tiny earrings in her ears! How precious, Mary. Halloween memories come early for her. :0
Mary MacADNski: Can't wait to talk with my daughter today to see how she reacted last night.

She doesn't know what a pumpkin is for yet Mary: sweet little thing, drool and all...
Mary MacADNski: In her life everything is for tasting, even cats.

Halloween has always been a mystery to me. It never existed when I was young. The first I heard of it was in the 1970s, probably through film/television when I understood it to be an 'American thing', like Thanksgiving or Labour day.In the 1980s British children began adopting it and I would not let our children 'knock on doors begging' (not understanding the concept). I then realised that it is All Hallows Eve or the Evening before All Saints day, the day before All Souls Day. Although it is proving a commercial success in the UK, I feel nothing for it, probably for the reasons that I put earlier. Anyway Mary, I do wish you a Happy Halloweens Day all the same.
Mary MacADNski: I really loved it when I was a kid and when I had kids. It has changed a lot and not that many kids go door to door any more but attend parties in their communities.

No doubt she will be getting a few treats and hopefully not too many tricks. I think we have our north American friends to "thank" for Hallowe'en! smile
Mary MacADNski: I can't wait to talk with my daughter today. She was taking baby to visit her other grandmother and a few friends.
She'll probably have a great time!
Mary MacADNski: I hope she does not get frightened.
A bump and drool, a close encounter with a Halloween pumpkin perhaps? smile
Mary MacADNski: I think she met a floor in her first attempt at walking. Later this day, I was babysitting and she fell again, getting a swollen lip.

Do you make pumpkin soup afterwards Mary?
Mary MacADNski: I will eventually, and some pie to eat after the soup.

Oh, what a sweet picture of your granddaughter with the Schnuller in the mouth (sorry, I have to look for the English word), the jewels at ear and nose (already a little beauty!) and the big pumkins!
Mary MacADNski: The mark on her nose is a scab from a fall she had earlier in the week. She is trying to walk but is not ready.
She is growing up so fast, Mary. So cute in this shot, drool and all.
Mary MacADNski: I got bathed in the drool when she visited. It had been some time since those days.

Mary MacADNski: I love your phrase, Baby Love.
Ah she's just too cute smile
Mary MacADNski: Precious!
