Like glace cherries...
Mary MacADNski: Not quite as sweet though.
A very nice image Mary, with wonderful color.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Frances. I see these bright berries every day and they are so beautiful in the sun.
What beautiful fruits- lovely way you've captured them with the lighting shining through!
Mary MacADNski: The birds will enjoy them when the snow comes.

Very cheerful indeed!
Mary MacADNski: They are like me then, cheerful.
They look good enough to eat...but probably aren't!
Mary MacADNski: The birds love them and you can make jelly from them but they are very bitter without sugar.
I love the lighting, makes the berries almost transparent
Mary MacADNski: Bright sunshine - good for autumn colours.

I'm sure a lot of wildlife rely on these to help them through the lean months of winter
Mary MacADNski: This is their purpose exactly. They are nice on a property too because of their pretty spring flower, which I've shown here in the past.
A bright & cheerful image, Mary. Wonderful light shining through.
Mary MacADNski: Wakes you up, that's for sure.

Beautiful composition, the berries really stand out against a fabulous background smile
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Linda. A shot of sunshine.
Don't they look wonderful in that light. Lovely shot Mary. Are they redcurrants?
Mary MacADNski: They are called highbush cranberries but are not like cranberries.
