A Bit Extra

Crews set up green trees with white lights and red bows in the old part of the city. Random trees are found with additional adornments courtesy of Christmas elves.  This shot was from November when we had had a small snowfall. Right now it looks like a green Christmas is in store for the Maritimes.

Doesn't anything get stolen? I'm amazed. Very pretty and very nice of whoever is responsible.

Green is a fine celebratory colour, Mary.
The patches of snow set off the tree nicely. We're going to get a dreary weather day for Christmas.
I like it! On one of our main highways thru Arizona, an "anonymous" family decorates a juniper that stands in the median near a favorite rest stop. When it's not Christmas, they decorate it with American Flags & yellow ribbons for our troops abroad.

Patches of snow here are better than no snow at all, Mary...I guess. Last year we had surprise snow for Christmas, so I know it's possible. How different from all those years as kids when we KNEW we'd have snow, and lots of it!

What is it with Christmas and snow.....
I love the decorations in the tree.
Right now we have too high temperatures to even come close to snow.....
nice outdoor tree, we don't have that...
don't worry, I hear the storm is coming. Like the fence.

That's good to hear; well done to those people that provide these. My own city seems lacking in any public Christmas tree although we do have some token LED lights on a few trees in the main shoppimg area. We rarely get snow at Christmas but this year is expecting to be one of the warmest on record - 14 deg.

I like the sound of those elves!
It's about plus 10 here today, Mary - so, like you, a green Christmas. If it stays this way to spring I'll be very happy!
What nice things to have dotted about town, wouldn't last 5 minutes over here sadly.
It is going to be green and mild here too. So have a good time anyway smile

Stolen? What an idea! If something like this is set up on the sidewalk, it will definitely have been stolen.

I hope you are happy with your green Christmas. Make it a good one.
I like the fact that the Christmas elves are doing such a fine job on the trees around your town Mary... i hope that you get some snow for Christmas... there is no doubt about a white Christmas up heregrin....petersmile
