Harbour Ice 1

What little ice formed this winter is breaking up. What was liquid yesterday and liquid this afternoon was an icy slurry early this morning when this shot was taken.  I was in the same spot this afternoon and only small bits of ice was visible.  Sun and tides did a marvelous job deicing the harbour today.

lovely landscape
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Chantal. You'd like it.
Like us you seem to have had a gentle winter this year. Mind you this looks cold enough smile
Mary MacADNski: Yes, a great winter. There were no extended cold snaps, only a few cold days or nights.

That is good news Mary: spring is returning
I guess this is the sight you and your neighbours look forward to each year Mary.
Isn't it awesome how this time of year brings such contrasts on a daily basis. I love the contrasts in your photo!
Wonderful picture!
A fine day to go ice-watching...
