I'm visiting fields this week and are a wide range. The potato field is king around here as far as industry goes.

If I was a dog I would want to be rolling around on my back here, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Cats take dust baths too. They wait all winter for their first bath.
Quite an image... like a giant comb furrowed the ground...
Mary MacADNski: That's a good way to put it.

Perfect lines
Mary MacADNski: They certainly try to.
I like this- the patterns and the lovely red barn offset!
Mary MacADNski: You'd see many fields like this at the present.

It looks like there will be an enormous crop, Mary! WOW. I really like your POV for this image.
Mary MacADNski: There are hundreds of thousands of acres of potatoes here.

This makes such an effective image, Mary
Mary MacADNski: I had one with more sky that was nicer but this weeks it is about fields so I chose the one showing more field.

Mary MacADNski: I shot one with more sky that was nicer but this week I am featuring fields so I chose this one showing more field.
A fine minimalist landscape Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Could show you many more that are truly minimalist. There are several in the archives.

It's painted in a complimentary shade to your soil
Mary MacADNski: The traditional red barn of the past is still being copied.

Mary MacADNski: My neighbour's dog does it every day in my garden. He's a pest.

Fascinating the patterns of the potato field! The clouds refuse to go in such a fine order.

You have caught the lines very well again. I find it interesting how they do the rows to follow the ups and downs. Over here they build the rows across the direction of the fall of land. reason being that some of our storms will erase your harvest.
Mary MacADNski: In some fields the ends of the fields are planted in the opposite direction to prevent erosion like that.

I like the composition here. The red of the barn complements the red of soil and the blue of the sky nicely.
Our potatoe fields are smaller than this and we noticed little green sprouts coming out yesterday. Super shot Mary
Even better than yesterday Mary, that barn has been put in just the right place for we photographers.
Lovely visual. Reminds me of my dad's potato patch (much smaller scale)
Great composition with this barn Mary! I like it.
Definitely a picture of lines, straight lines. I love it.
Excellent composition Mary!
An excellent image! I love it!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks Steve. I have a better one but was portraying fields in this post so used the one with the field predominating.
