Mary MacADNski: When these begin to bloom the colour is best. The later blooms seem lighter in colour.
We have these in our garden too, they have taken a bit of a battering this year!

Mary MacADNski: I have just looked it up. It is rare here but treated as a noxious weed if found. It's flower is very beautiful and reminds me of a hoya plant. Thanks for getting back to me.
