One of the world's most famous feral cat colonies
is that living in the ruins of the Roman Colosseum, made up of about 250 cats.
Rome may have been spared the Plague, thanks to these cats.
Big Grey Boy is a fellow in Eekie's family. He rubs my hand when I feed him and likes to be petted but only so much. He is huge, and solid and his fur is rough.
It is amazing how many homeless cats are adopted by families of animal loving people.
There is a third member of this family, a huge big orange cat that we really don't know the sex of because it's tail is firmly wrapped under it while running the other way whenever approached. We call that one Big Orange Kitty. I doubt I could ever get a shot of it. They are well fed and sheltered. Strays are helped out by numerous rural citizens and some societies, after they've been dropped off in the countryside by uneducated people.
