photoblog image Saturday Stroll

Saturday Stroll

"The foolish seeks happiness in the distance,

the wise grows it under his feet."

Though I have many old ones, I have no new cat shots so I have taken time for a Saturday Stroll.  I have been down to the frozen pond edge both on my snowshoes and my boots this week.

Years ago I collected many traveling quotes and as I switch from cats to strolls, I will add a quote or two to accompany the shot.

"If you are going to walk on thin ice,

you might as well dance"

Its a different colour from Richard's saturday stroll, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, Ray, very different colours. I had noticed his green was so lush. Ours will be too - in May.
I love your tracks in the snow Mary... and i like your attitude about dancing on thin ice....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: I did plan to get wet here when I was in my boots
I like both the image and your quotes! Especially the first one - rather fitting for my life as of late! Though I don't think of myself as wise- I certainly am better for planting my own happiness! Live in the NOW as they say! smile
Mary MacADNski: You've got it, girl. It's the only time we have, really.

Is this an invitation to be carefree or take risks Mary?
Mary MacADNski: Each in it's own time. In my second trip down, in boots, I prepared to get wet.

Great footprints... always love tracks in the snow.
Will you PLEASE be very careful out there, make sure you don't fall!!!!
Enjoy the weekend.
Mary MacADNski: Now that I've stopped taking slapshots with my boots on, I've stayed upright. Actually I fell a couple times the first day I was out snowshoeing this year. Going too fast. Got to enjoy the good days of winter.
Super track shapes, and two fine verses.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Brian. Enjoy your weekend.

Nice quotes! I can agree with the first one. These are fascinating foot- or shoe-prints!
Mary MacADNski: It is snowshoe tracks on the right. The holes on the left are from waterproof boots.
Looks like a popular walk Mary. Some may call it art walk
Mary MacADNski: It is my back yard with two sets of tracks.
Wait for me Mary, I join you for this white stroll!
Mary MacADNski: It was a short one the last day but most effective.
I love the patterns of the tracks...
Mary MacADNski: Did you check out Maru?

I can see human footprints but what made those on the right?
Mary MacADNski: I snowshoed down and back on the old fashioned snowshoes. After some weather event that turned all our snow to semi-frozen, cement like snow, I walked down with my boots to get these frost shots. This is my front yard where I am walking to my pond.
