Frosty Grasses 2

These frost shots were taken at 10am when direct sunlight  was nearing these crystals.  There is already softening from the ambient temperature which has risen since the morning has progressed.

Mary MacADNski: There are some treasures to be found in the cold.

These ice crystals look so light & delicate
Mary MacADNski: I wish been out there earlier. They were getting heavier and softer by this time.
Frost can be so pretty Mary
Mary MacADNski: A wonder in white. Cold has it's delights too.

Caught at the few moments of transition, Mary
Mary MacADNski: Yes, much like frost I showed in the fall. I get up early enough; I just have to get outdoors sooner.
Fantastic detail Mary. Each crystal spur looks like a miniature fir tree.
Mary MacADNski: I noticed that too. Amazing isn't it!

another wonderful photo! Ice crytals are a wonder of nature in my view.
Mary MacADNski: The crystalline patterns are repeated in many other places in nature, including the coniferous trees, as we talked about yesterday.

Such a beautiful scene especially with the light like it is. Winter is behind us now, I think. 14 deg C here and sunny.
Mary MacADNski: It is nice here but still winter.
A very fine follow up to Monday's shot Mary, those crystals are very large.
Mary MacADNski: We don't get true hoarfrost that I see from Britain very often.
Excellent capture Mary. They look rather like ice feathers
Mary MacADNski: Feathery, tree-like - all repeated patterns in nature.
The feathering of ice is magical.
Mary MacADNski: Isn't it great! It was so beautiful and very delicate as the crystals were falling off by the moment.
Very delicate feathers Mary!
Mary MacADNski: A great pattern.
Still makes a stunning pic, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It is very pretty isn't it. I wish I'd paid attention earlier.
Perfect timiing for this superb capture Mary... i love it....petersmile
